The story of a photographer

Matt Kay is a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. Born in the Natal Midlands, Matt spent a number of years overseas working in the Caribbean and Europe. While working on a ranch in Texas, Matt discovered a passion for photography and has become known for his unobtrusive, elegant, and unexpected approach to capturing his subjects.

Upon returning to South Africa he trained at the Market Photo Workshop and gained experience in the field of photojournalism, social documentary and fine art photography. His personal work has been widely exhibited and he is the recipient of numerous awards and nominations.
